Description

Cincinnati Railroad Club memberships run on an annual calendar-year basis (January 1 through December 31). But why wait until the new year to climb aboard? If you join or renew your membership right now during October, November, or December, your dues will cover the remainder of 2026 AND all of 2027!

Membership provides you with the club’s monthly 16-page color newsletter, Headlight & Markers, distributed digitally. Click here to see an example of Headlight & Markers.

Members, and the general public, are invited to attend monthly meetings with special speakers and presentations of slides, videos, and digital photography.

While our monthly meetings—packed with guest speakers, incredible slide shows, videos, and digital photography—are always open to the public, becoming a member unlocks the ultimate railfan experience.

Your annual membership runs for the calendar year and grants you exclusive access to:

• The Ultimate Trackside View: Gather with fellow enthusiasts in our private space inside Cincinnati Union Terminal, offering a spectacular, front-row view of the north end of the city’s bustling main railroad yards.

• Exclusive Member Events: Get on the list for members-only slide shows, special programs, and unforgettable group trips.

• An Incredible Library: Dive into a treasure trove of history with access to nearly 1,600 books.

• A Passionate Community: Connect and collaborate with people who share your exact passion for railfan photography, historical research, rail travel, and collecting. You’ll even hear firsthand, unforgettable stories from retired railroad employees and veteran train watchers.

• Hands-On Learning: Master the art of using commercial railroad radio scanners, learn how to digitize vintage negative and slide collections, and more.

Get Involved & Make History! Members don’t just watch history—they preserve it. Dive into active research projects, like our Cincinnati Union Terminal work group, which dives deep into the original records and construction photos of this iconic landmark. Plus, help us organize, digitize, and bring to life a massive photo and document collection covering the fascinating railroad history of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and beyond.
