The Cincinnati Railroad Club’s August 2024 meeting featured a wonderful program by Tom Wells who took us along N&W’s Peavine and the Pennsy at Oasis during the 1970s-1990s, as well as a few other regional railfanning spots. Tom is a recently retired local law enforcement officer who at one time combined his law enforcement career with his love of railroads, serving on the security team for the Ft. Wayne Railroad Historical Society’s excursions with NKP 765. He has now turned his railroad ‘hobby’ into a second career as an engineer for local shortline railroads and is a volunteer with Ohio Operation Lifesaver.
This program was greatly anticipated by many as we had an almost full house for Tom’s presentation. If you missed the live program, you can watch the replay below. Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel where you will find our programs, videos, our LIVE rail cameras, and more!
