The Cincinnati Railroad Club, Inc. is an Ohio nonprofit 501(c)3 educational organization founded in 1938. The club recently re-established its headquarters inside Cincinnati Union Terminal (CUT) with a clubroom/archive for members. Member meetings held on the first Thursday of most months at 7:30 p.m. in the historic Newsreel Theater at Union Terminal feature a program and are always open to the public.
We are a community of members interested in sharing their knowledge and interests in full-scale railroading. While many members love model trains, that is not our focus.
Some of our members are retired railroad employees with stories to tell, while others are photographers of trains, amateur and professional historians, passenger train riding enthusiasts, or memorabilia collectors.
Members discuss and share details about full-scale railway tracks, locomotives, structures, and operations. We go well beyond the familiar caboose of yesteryear or railroad crossing gate.
From our office and members-only library and archive in CUT, members are working to be good stewards of our physical collections consisting of historical photographs, documents, and memorabilia including railroad signs and steam locomotive headlights, and more.
You might recognize the club through its YouTube channel and live camera views of part of the CSX and Norfolk Southern railroad yards.
We’ve got stories to tell, and new adventures ahead. Come join the fun.
