Don Patrick photos donated to club

The Cincinnati Railroad Club has welcomed the majestic photography of Don Patrick into its archives. The late West Side Cincinnati resident was a longtime member of the club.

He wore a pork pie hat, and a camera always dangled in front of him. The Elder High School geometry teacher died in 2017 at the age of 81. Thanks to another club member, many of Don’s color slides were saved. The club has already created two videos using photos from the Don Patrick collection: Last Day of Trains on the former Cheviot Hill in Cincinnati and a 1969 passenger train trip on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad from Cincinnati to Indiana and Illinois. The 8 p.m. April 4, 2024 club program about Cheviot Hill will be sure to incorporate dozens more Don Patrick photos. The program will be streamed live on our YouTube channel. Look for this program and more, and be sure to subscribe to @cincinnatirailroadclub on YouTube.

Club meetings are always open to the public. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of most months in the historic Newsreel Theater inside Cincinnati Union Terminal/Cincinnati Museum Center, 1301 Western Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45203.
