Join the Cincinnati Railroad Club<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Members and the general public are invited to attend our monthly meetings featuring special speakers and presentations of slides, videos, and digital photography covering a variety of topics.\u00a0 Our meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 7:30pm in the historic Newsreel Theater at Cincinnati Union Terminal.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, becoming a club member adds you to the email invite list for additional member-only events (slide shows, programs, trips, and other activities).\u00a0 Your membership gives you access to the club library<\/a> of nearly 1,600 books and railroad DVDs, plus opportunities to gather in a space inside Cincinnati Union Terminal with a view of the north end of the city\u2019s main railroad yards.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with others who share your unique interests including railroad photography, historical research, rail travel, collecting, and more.\u00a0 You may even have a chance to hear remembrances from retired railroad employees and longtime train watchers.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are opportunities to learn how to digitize photo, negative, and slide collections, learn how to use commercially available railroad radio scanners, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Members are encouraged to become involved in ongoing research projects and initiatives. The club has a Cincinnati Union Terminal work group going through the extensive records and photography of the Terminal\u2019s construction and early years of operations.\u00a0 Members are working to organize, digitize, and leverage our extensive photo and document collection on various historical railroad subjects covering Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n
